The center Baraga County Shelter Home’s work is providing services and hope for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and related forms of abuse along a journey of healing, with priorities of safety and empowerment. We believe, listen, and respect survivors and provide support, information, counseling, and advocacy to overcome the negative effects of violence, empowering them to take steps towards achieving safety and self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. We also do important work towards achieving our mission of eliminating domestic and sexual violence through social and systems change.
